How we came together.
On the Fly is a collective of seasoned industry experts and superfans ferociously dedicated to building a resilient food and hospitality industry. Our roots are in Vermont, a state where small businesses and small cities form the foundation of community.
We came together — first as volunteers, then through a landmark grant from the state of Vermont — in response to the extraordinary strain COVID-19 placed on an already fragile industry.
In 2020 we were proud to partner with the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Vermont Agency of Commerce & Community Development (ACCD). In less than a year we’ve been able to serve over 40 small business clients who collectively represent over $40 million worth of economic activity. All at no cost to our clients thanks to grants from ACCD and the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF).
Currently, we are working to steward 12 new businesses through this process, having earned additional funding. Stay tuned as we grow and adapt to new funding opportunities!

Our sprint model means that we are able to deliver results in weeks rather than months.
